Hello anybody who reads this, long time no speak
I today decided to tidy my bedroom up and got delving into one of my "memory drawers". This particular "memory drawer" housed all my previous rolls of film - no digital, probably only early days of digital at the time - I took when I was just a little boy when I didn't give a care in the world about photography. Shocking is the only word for it. I feel sorry for my mum who had to buy the film and then take it to get developed. Complete waste of money. Or was it?
After looking through more Bonusprint packs of photos I stumbled upon the pack from when I went to Paris on a secondary school trip in Year 8 (I'd have been 12/13) and was quite shocked by a couple of the images for a different reason. Several shots of the Eiffel Tower are actually fairly good. They're fairly arty and actually look quite attractive. I must have actually thought the images out before taking them, meaning I didn't just get into photography around age 16 like I thought, I must have actually been interested in it since 12 or 13 years old and not known it. However, the pack also has alot of rubbish similar to the first pack too.
It's been quite interesting having a little look through my old photos though, however, I'm pretty glad I've improved too.
Anyway, back to the present day. I have a question for anybody who is still reading this entry as far down as this, after that wall of text.
What do you people think of my new photography direction: Street Photography?
At the end of my first year of college, we had to have a think about what we'd quite like to do in Photography A2 and after seeing some great images from Elliot Erwitt and Joel Meyerowitz, I decided on street photography to base my second year on.
That is why I've been uploading an awful lot of street photography images recently and they seem to be less popular than my other images.
So now is your chance to tell me what you think of them.
Do you like my new direction, if you can call it that, did you prefer my older more nature-orientated images or do you actually quite like both?
That's it from me for now, and probably the next couple of months again. Thanks massively if you're still reading this now.
Happy devianting.
